Effects of Intercropping Different Varieties of Radish on Photosynthesis under Selenium Stress

摘要: A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of intercropping 3 varieties radish (white, green and red radish) in different combinations on photosynthesis under selenium (Se) stress. The result showed that different combinations of intercropping in radish significantly increased the net photosynthetic rate (Pn), stomatal conductance (Gs), CO_2 concentration of intercellular (Ci) and transpiration rate (Tr) and decreased the vapor pressure deficit at the leaf surface (Vpdl) of white radish compared with the white radish monoculture under Se stress, intercropping could improve the photosynthesis of white radish. However, intercropping significantly decreased the Pn, Gs, Tr and increased the Vpdl of green radish compared with the green radish monoculture under Se stress, intercropping could inhibit the photosynthesis of green radish. In addition, red radish intercropping with white radish and 3 varieties radish intercropping increased the Pn, Gs, Ci, Tr and decreased the Vpdl of red radish. In conclusion, white radish intercropping with red radish could improve the photosynthesis of white and red radish, which was the optimal intercropping combination in radish.
